Flea Market Find

Last week I visited a local flea market and found a little treasure.   There was a medium sized silver bowl for $1.  I couldn’t believe my good fortune.  A little polish and it was almost as good as new.  It looks great on my table with some apples in it…  In a few more weeks I’ll probably put some gourds in it.

Great Find – An Antique Lamp

While on a walk one evening, I spotted a beautiful lamp illuminating the window of a local antique shop.  I was concerned that it would be too expensive so I tried to put it out of my mind.  But that was useless because I couldn’t stop thinking about it so I decided to go in and inquire about it.  Not only was it only $55, I got another 30% off.  The lesson here is to not assume that something is out of your reach and you should always gather information when you instantly fall in love with something.  So get out there and find your next take your breath away shopping moment.

Flea Market Find

Tis the season for flea markets and tag sales.  I recently found a silver plated pitcher for $15 at a flea market.  It looks great with a bunch of flowers in it or just sitting on a table with a couple of books.  So get out there and see what treasures you can find.  I would love to hear about them.

PS Don’t forget a silver polishing cloth so you can polish items a little to see if it is worth taking home.
